4 years, Male, Medium Mixed Breed (Springer Spaniel size)
Hunter was terrified when he arrived with us and wanted to hide away instantly. He was not comfortable being around the other dogs and was exhausted from his travels.
As the day went on Hunter started to understand that we just want to be nive to him and has wagged his tail at us a little. He is wary of handling and at the moment doesn't want lots of interaction but he is incredibly food motivated and will take treats from your hands. He becomes quite giddy around food and his little ears prick up with excitement.
He is very frightened of other dogs and prefers his own company. He will need to live as an only dog. He will benefit from training sessions to build up his confidence around other dogs in future.
He will allow bits of touch but he isn't ready for cuddles yet. For this reason we believe that Hunter could potentially live with kids over 14 years.
He is not currently walking on a lead but staff will go through how to do this when he is ready.
