Moose

Foster home required

Moose

Age: 10 months

Breed: Giant Schnauzer

About me: I’m just a big puppy so I’m into everything and the humans say I need some boundaries and training. I LOVE food so will quickly learn in exchange for treats!

Why I need a Foster Home: I was handed into rescue with a nasty infection in my spine and I am taking antibiotics for 6 months to clear it. Then I need an x-ray to check I’m well before I can be adopted.

What I’m looking for: FOOD and TOYS and TREATS! Oh, but the staff said I also have to say, someone who will be patient and not let me get away with naughty behaviour but teach me manners and get me ready for a forever home. I could live with a large female dog but no boy doggies, cats or humans under 15yrs.

Hand-in a Dog

Hand in a Dog

You must complete this form if you wish to hand in a dog. Please do not call the centre if you need to rehome your dog. This takes valuable time away from caring for our rescue dogs and we will only refer you back to this page. Please also note we only take UK dogs from the local area, we do not have the capapcity to help dogs from all over the UK. If your dog is not based in Hull please contact a charity closer to your home address.

The detailed application form needs to be completed as accurately and as honestly as possible to ensure we can offer the best care for the dogs we take in. If there are inaccuracies we may not be able to look after and rehome the dog suitably which could be detrimental to their welfare and that of other dogs around them. If you have no history on some of the behaviours required in the form, please just complete 'unknown'.

Please Note: Due to our severely limited funds, we ask for a donation from private homes when a dog is handed in. This is a contribution towards any veterinary care required (health checks, vaccinations, flea, worming, neutering etc.) food costs and general upkeep and care of the dog during their stay with us. Each dog we take in costs us a minimum of £190 to care for the dog - this does not include staff wages, rent of kennels, utility bills etc.. The donation is whatever you can afford to give but please bear in mind we are a rescue and survive on very limited funds, we cannot continue to run if people don't support us financially.

You will recieve acknowledgement of your hand in form and your dog will then be added to our waiting list. We also usually request you bring the dog in for an initial assessment to assess where we could accommodate them. We cannot usually take the dog immediately and so you would have to take them home again. If we can take your dog we will then arrange a time for you to bring them in.

Please note before we we take in any dog we will require an up to date vet report on the dogs general health.
