Get involved - there is something for everyone!

Here are a couple of example of our social media volunteer responsibilities:

• Sharing our posts to local groups

• Contacting local news outlets about our events

• Running our twitter account

• Posting on Facebook and Instagram Stories

• Helping with our Sponsorship Scheme

Please don't feel like you have to do it all - we know it's a lot of responsibility to take on and even if you can help with just one of those things that would be fantastic! You don't need to live in Hull either as long as you have some basic knowledge of using social media you can definitely help!

We are always open to ideas too so if there is anything we don't already do that you think you could help us with get in touch!

We organise 4-5 big events per year at our fundraising site The Dog Hub on Chants Ave! This is a great opportunity for those that can't commit to regular shifts but would still like to help out a couple of times per year

• Dog show set up - we prep the area for our events the day before each dog show, this includes some heavy lifting, cleaning and setting up our stalls etc

• On the day - we always need more support on the day of the event - this is mostly helping at our stalls so could be anything from taking pictures, selling dog show entry tokens, raffle tickets or running a tombola - if you love interacting with people this is definitely the role for you!

• after the event - we usually finish at approximately 3:30pm and once all the customers are out of the building it's time to put everything back and clean up

Do you enjoy getting out and about and meeting people? Then this could be the perfect role for you!

We get a lot of offers to attend events, collections at our local supermarkets or car boot sales but we are such a tiny team we just can't fit them all in so we would love to recruit a couple of volunteers that could attend events for us!

We are happy to lend you equipment such as a table, collection tins etc but you will need your own transport to get to the fundraising locations

We are also looking to build a team of volunteers that can collect things for us - collection bins, item donations, collection tins - this is an add hoc position and we will let you know when items need collecting
