Frida's Story:
Frida ended up in our care due to an urgent plea from a charity called Pawprints to Freedom [PPTF].
She was living in a shelter in Romania, it was very overcrowded and she was getting badly picked on by the other dogs. One day, a group of them attacked her and she was lucky to survive.
The shelter volunteers pulled her out but there was nowhere for her to go except a small crate to keep her safe, this was literally the only option and they needed a rescue to step up and take her asap.
She arrived with us on the 17th October. She is very timid of people as she's never had someone be kind to her so as much as she will cautiously approach for a treat, she's a very long way off asking for strokes.
Frida will need a quiet household where there is no pressure on her and she will be able to build up her confidence and trust of people at her own pace.
Bio:

With other dogs:
If there is ever a group of dogs and there's one that's going to get bullied, it will always be Frida. Despite this, Frida still loves the company of dogs when she has found the right ones that show her kindness. Upon first meetings, she is very cautious and may give the odd lip flicker but once she no longer feels threatened, she absolutely thrives in their company. When Frida is around other dogs, she will get fussy to see us and tell us off when we're too slow at giving out treats or if we happen to not have any on us at all.
She is a massive character with so much potential, a nice kind and gentle dog in the home would do her the absolute world of good.
She could possibly be adopted as an only dog however, progress will be a lot slower and she will need someone at home for a majority of the day as she's never lived in a home before and also never not been around dogs before, they are her comfort blanket - even after all she's been through with some of them.
With cats:
As Frida can not yet be handled / have a collar and lead put on her, there is no safe way for us to cat test her and so we will need to look for a cat free home for this little one.
Active energy
Frida shows to have moderate to high energy levels
0-2 as an only dog
4-5 with another dog in the home
If Frida is adopted with another dog, we think she'll be fine to be left alone for 4-5 hours.
If she is adopted as an only dog, she will need someone at home a majority of the day. She has never lived in a home before and never been without the company of another dog, she will [and does] panic when she is left completely alone.
Lead trained
Frida is a long way off being able to get a collar and lead on her. It will be a very long time until she is confident enough to walk on a lead.
Training required
Frida has no form of basic training, this will all come in time once she has settled into her new home and learns to trust her adopters.
