Introducing... adorable Adele!

Adele's Story:

Adele is just 9 months old and has spent much of her short life growing up in a shelter in Romania.

There were 3 siblings, 2 named Adele, Beyonce, and the 3rd one was lucky enough to be adopted directly from Romania.

We had a plea from a volunteer rescuer that had just been at the shelter stating that there were 2 pups there that were completely withdrawing into themselves and were starting to shut down. They were very worried that these 2 babies wouldn't survive the winter as they were already so frail, and temperatures had already dropped to -5 degrees. It usually gets to -20 during their winter months.

In the photos, Adele is attached to Beyonce's side. Over time though, these 2 girls have made many new friends and are no longer reliant on each other. They both now kennel share with different dogs and are settled and happy with their groups.

Adele has never lived in a home before and so would require time, patience, understanding and lots of positive based training to help her learn the ropes of home life.

Bio:

With other dogs:

Adele loves playing out with the other pups and adult dogs however, she has shown signs of food and toy guarding so if he was to live with another dog, this would need to be very carefully managed. The dog would need to be of similar or larger size than Adele.

With cats:

Adele is untested with cats therefore, she can not be rehomed with them. Due to the food & toy guarding, we wouldn't be able to guarantee that she wouldn't hurt a cat if food was involved.

Active energy

Adele loves nothing more than running around our fields and yards with all of her doggy friends. She's not ready to come inside a minute before the kennel shift is over. Adele has moderate to high energy levels at present.

0 -2 hrs to start

Adele has spent her life being surrounded by other dogs and so has never been left alone, completely by herself.

If adopted as an only dog, she will need a home where someone is around for most of the day and that can slowly build up her alone time to prevent creating separation anxiety and to show her that it is ok to be alone sometimes. If she is adopted with another dog, she'll feel much more settled and could be left for longer.

Lead trained

Adele is not yet lead trained. She is still very unsure about being handles and so lead training will come once she has built a bond with her new family.

Training required

Adele has no form of basic training. This will all come in time once she has settled and learnt to fully trust her adopters
