Kira's info:
Sex: Female
Age: 9 months old
Size: Expected to be Medium / Large
Breed: German Shepherd / Mixed Breed
Introducing Kira:
Kira originally travelled to the UK from Romania, with her sister Nala by her side the whole way.
These 2 pups were so small and vulnerable when they were dropped off at the shelter [it was -19 degrees and extremely overcrowded with dogs fighting for food / water and shelter], that the manager felt she had no choice but to take them home and keep them safe. This was amazingly kind of her but she had already done the same thing for over 200 other dogs and she was so dedicated to helping these babies that she was neglecting to look after herself and without this lady, hundreds of dogs wouldn't survive. We offered to take these 2 pups off her hands, it's not a lot but it's 2 lives that get a brand new start in the UK where they can find a family all of their own.
Since arriving with us Kira has shown to be very affectionate with staff and volunteers and very playful with toys and dog friends.

With other dogs:
Nala loves playing out with her dog friends and shares a kennel with her sister Kira. She can be quite vocal when meeting a dog for the first time but we'd be more than happy for her to live with a 2nd dog in the home.
With cats:
Nala is not yet cat tested but we are looking to do this as soon as possible.
Active energy
Nala is still just a baby, she currently shows moderate energy levels but she has recently started going out on walks which she is absolutely loving. We think she'll have much higher energy levels once she grows her confidence in a home
0-2 hours
Nala has never in her life been left fully alone as she's always had the company of other dogs.
There's a possibility that Nala could suffer with separation anxiety until she gets used to being alone, this will need to be worked on and built up slowly
Lead trained
Nala has recently started lead training, she's very wary of the outside world and her confidence will need to built up slowly over time
Training required
Nala has no form of basic training. She will also need toilet training in her new home
