Introducing Winnie:
Winnie arrived with us at the end of March in memory of her beautiful sister Fia, who very sadly passed away within 48 hours of being rescued :'( She was the most perfect baby and so when we heard that her sister Winniw was still desperate for a safe space, we didn't hesitate to say yes.
We had no space at our kennels though, so she has gone straight into foster care with one of the staff which will give her a head start on learning the ropes of living in a home.
Toilet training is going well, she is easily distracted with toys / long lasting chew toys to keep her occupied and is just the most loving girl, once she learns to trust you.
Winnie is still extremely submissive and so trust with her adopters will need to be slowly built, she's not going to be your typical bouncy and confident puppy straight away.
Winnie does suffer with serparation anxiety until a routine is establised, she is doing so much better now but this will be starting from scratch again once she goes into her forever home.

With other dogs:
Winnie is amazing with all dogs, there's not been one that she' met that she hasn't loved. She's super playful but will always be the most submissive one in the group.
The only downside to Winnie living with another dog is that she guards her people [from other dogs]. This is getting less and less but it is something that would need to be very carefully managed in a home from day one and the issue may never fully go away.
With cats:
Winnie LOVES cats. She is currently living with one in her foster home and luckily he is very friendly and dog confident but if she could be with him 24/7, then she would.
If she goes into a home with a cat that wouldn't like this / would run away, she would chase them to try and get them to stay with her. She plays with her foster cat brother, lays with him and will hold him between her paws and give him a good clean at any opportunity that she has.
Active energy
Winnie is a young plauful puppy with lots of energy,
0-2 hours
Winnie has proven to suffer with separation anxiety until she is completely settled and in a routine.
All the work she's done with this will be starting from scratch again in a new home.
We will need someone that is willing to work on this and help her feel safe when she is alone, this won't happen overnight but she has already showed great potential, with she has the right guidance.
Lead trained
Winnie has recently started harness training, she is very timid of anything new and so this will be a slow process to build up her confidence on the lead.
Training required
Winnie is currently toilet training but doesn't yet know any basic commands.
She is focusing on building up her trust with her foster carer and desensitising her to household objects as we believe that this is way more imporant at this time.
